A mentor will be assigned to each student freshman year and will guide him/her through the four-year process. Mentoring sessions will occur during scheduled, school-wide mentorship times, which will be published in the Student Handbook. |

1. Read the Graduation Project Manual and return the signed Student and Parent/Guardian Graduation Project Awareness form to your mentor. 2. Before you begin to create your portfolio, it is important that you understand what a portfolio is. Your mentor will discuss that information with you. 3. Make this portfolio worthy of presentation your senior year. You can do this by the quality of work you select to showcase and the creativity you use to present it. 4. Complete a Portfolio Entry Form for each selection in the curriculum, personal interest, and service to school and community sections. Note: you do not need to complete a Portfolio Entry Form for any selections included in the Career Exploration section. 5. This portfolio is not something that can be put together at the last minute. You must complete the grade level requirements each year. You will not be promoted to the next grade level until you complete the grade level requirements. 6. Your mentor will monitor your portfolio and complete with you a Graduation Project Sign-off Sheet each year. 7. Your mentor will assist you in preparing the graduation project for presentation and final evaluation your senior year. 8. A committee will review the graduation project and assess it on a Pass/Fail basis. If it does not pass the first time, you must make the recommended changes and present it again. PLEASE NOTE:
