Starting in the year 2000, the students in Mr. Vorisek's Art classes began painting murals in the hallways of LHS.

The purpose of the project has been to liven up the hallways, focus attention on academics, and to foster school pride.

LHS principal, Mr. Chizewick has been the driving force behind the process as well as being the art teacher’s #1 fan and advocate.

The ideas for the various paintings were generated by the teachers and then refined and designed by the art teacher and his artists.

Student Council was instrumental in providing funds for the additional acrylic paint needed to cover these large spaces. For this we are grateful.
