Course Description:
The study of government at the
local, state, and national levels is pursued. Heavy emphasis is placed
on acquainting the student with the structure of the executive, legislative,
and judicial branches of government. A number of related topics, the free
enterprise system, our political party structure, and career exploration
data are integrated into the curriculum. Pennsylvania's role in the development
of our nation is stressed.
Pre-requisites:
None
Goals/Objectives:
1. To develop citizenship skills
by learning systems of government and acquire the values and attitude necessary
for responsible citizenship.
2. To develop an understanding
of different cultures and other people.
3. To be able to explain the earth-sun
relationship, climate land form, culture, race environment, and topography.
Grading:
Grading will follow the policy
of the Conneaut School District
A = 93% - 100%
B = 85% - 92%
C = 73% - 84%
D = 65% - 72%
F = 0% - 64%

All students are required to do
all in class assignments, homework assignments, and tests and quizzes.
