The Linesville High School Library is prepared for the
21st century. Computers in the library make available more resources than
ever before possible. Modern technology has enabled classroom research
to go way beyond our doors on the "information superhighway."
LHS faculty and students have access to the Internet. In addition, E-mail
is available to anyone who is interested. Research patrons at LHS can use
Proquest Direct to search periodicals. Electronic encyclopedias are also
available. This gives searchers a wider berth in their quest for knowledge.
Books
can be borrowed across Pennsylvania through the interlibrary loan system
known as ACCESS PA, of which LHS library is a member. The LHS library also
loans books to any library across Pennsylvania.
Through a program known as ShareNW periodical articles
can be requested via the fax machine. Crawford, Erie and Warren county
high schools are members of this periodical sharing organization.
The LHS library is a memorial library. It is open to the
public on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 P.M. Therefore, all
of these resources are available to the community as well.
